How Much Are You Desperate?
A few days ago, I got a message from a fellow Twitter member. It sounded directly like this, word by word.” I would rinse bleach to get you to check out the free sample of my book. Don’t make me do it!” What would you think about it? First, though, what came to me was that this person is desperate. Bleach makes holes in sheets if you do not dilute with water. I wonder if the human body could be resistant to this type of experiment. To make this sacrifice regarding the book, is it worth it? Maybe, but it does not sound appealing. How, after this action, can you do the presentation of your book? Yes, I know it was just a manner to attract attention.
Content Inside Versus Outside
It is a good old saying. Do not make decisions about the book by
cover. It works with everything: with people, food, houses, and animals. We often jump from joy and buy trendy, colorful clothes, and later see that quality lasts one washing machine circle. Sometimes we decide about people from clothes, cars or bank accounts. If it were so simple, we would not have such beautiful stories as Beauty and the Beast or the movie Ratatouille. I remember the story about the lift operator. He complained that a man with a bicycle takes all space in the elevator room. He resisted serving him. This particular man was Steven Spielberg. He did not make trouble, but he just looked to compare with other tenants casually.
Be Patient
It is the same with books. There so many great books written in the world, but we cannot read them. Time is limited. To reach our goals, be the best in our lovable areas takes time and preparation. We can learn just these books or reference manuals, which help us reach new levels, enrich and give us knowledge on how to expand our business. Maybe my mentioned Twitter follower was so sad that nobody reads her creation. I did not believe that somebody can gargle bleach for real. In this case, it would be better to read feedback from her readers. If somebody is looking for the topic, he or she will find the needed information. To understand just for reading, it is a waste of time.
Time Proves Worth of Creations
How many are artists, writers, actors famous relatively short period? Time passed, and the next generation does not look back. Why? Because it did not pass the time test. What was great before one or a few hundred years ago will be celebrated today and in the future. It does not matter how loud you would talk about skyscrapers’ comfort and neediness to save space; boulevards in Paris, London, or Chicago, surrounded by trees and magnificent mansions, attract visitors and create a cozy environment. Historical buildings, which reflect stability, wealth are proof of the timeless human wish to strive for a better life. Overall, what people create, must serve public needs. Beauty makes us feel relaxed. It inspires us to enjoy life, smile more, and maybe create something that lasts longer compare to wish to attract attention in drastic ways.
