Eluding scams, using right information, can save time and money for you and your family. People, who want start career online, must be careful when they trust coin artist without checking them out.
Traps and Lures of Internet
Self-proclaimed teachers and gurus attract people, who look for opportunities how to make money online. The best way is not to fall for empty promises. How to do it? Be aware and arm yourself with information. Do not rush making decisions.
Most of them want money from you as fast as possible. Scammers create videos, showing their wives and mansions, cars and boats. Some of them put pictures of children on their promotional websites.
All people want best for themselves, family and friends. Promises to earn money without effort, dedication and time sound so attractive. Paying few bucks or ten hundred dollars does not look so bad when you see a big picture, painted by the con artist.
Tricks and Lies from Fake Gurus
Videos with statements from Paypal make an impression, which everything is real. Some of the solid players hire actors, rent houses. They shoot videos in beautiful places to create an image of prosperous life.
Let’s take the time to explore, before trusting your hard earned money to them. There are so many websites, where you can find information how to protect yourself from losses and heartbreak.
Checking Things Out
These steps show how you can remove your doubts. You will stop when it is not late. I mean that your wallet would be safe for now. Let’s begin.
Type their name into the search engine.
Usually, if they are scammers, information will pop out. It happened with me when I got Emobile Code program as the bonus. This guy was a great actor, and I was hooked pretty fast. Just when I got a bill from Slippers Company in China, I start to think. I was the lucky one. My loss was foreign transaction fee, about forty dollars. I guess, I was naive and wanted to live comfortable without work.
Look for feedback from real people. Be aware, because there are so many hired persons, who pretend to be real customers. They write fake reviews for scammers and post them online.
Gather information about the so-called teacher, coach or guru. Address, phone number, last and first name would work fine in case of exposing them online. My scammer, who is from Australia, gave the wrong number on Skype. It was the first red flag, waving under my nose.
How long is this company, teacher, coach or seller in this business?
Be skeptical if somebody insists sell their program right away. People will tell you, that it is the last option or some more guys wait to take this particular spot.
Check given information with a local consumer protection agency.
What kind of return policy do they have? I heard from one proclaimed “coach,” that is no replacement for digital products. It seems that they can sell any fake products if target or consumer believes in them.
Get a document in writing what they offer.
Do not rush. Take your time to check things out.
If their program is legit, they will not press you with offers.
Do not give any phone numbers. They will flow you with robotic calls all day long. These scammers pass information like email addresses, phone numbers to each other. You will get a lot offers how to earn money online from various members of scammers society. Be patient with them. It is a good idea to block their numbers, register your phone number in donotcall.gov and send unwanted emails to a spam box.
Pay for service, when you are sure about legitimacy with the credit card through PayPal. If something goes wrong, you must turn to PayPal. They will return your money.
How to Stop Unsolicited Calls?
It can happen that somebody calls you regularly. When you call back, nobody talks with you. It means that you scammed. They take your time. It is more precious thing compare with money.
Block Number
If you have an iPhone, you can block number instantly after the call. On the top right side by number is a letter i for information; you press it, go down and see block contact. After it, this particular number will not bother you. Anyway, there are countless fake companies and persons who will call you and offer the job at home or they just will hang up.
Register Phone Number
A good option is to register your phone number in donotcall.gov. I registered my number few times, and it worked like a charm. Once I asked a guy, why do they call me. He told that they got the number with request how to make money online. I explained the situation, and he advised to register number in donotcall.gov every two weeks.
Warn Other People
A helpful website is www.whocallsme.com. Here people write down numbers, which are unsolicited and bother them. If you have an interest, you can enter scammers phone number. Mostly companies name or described situation shows up. People leave their experience about these annoying calls.

Hello, thank you for visiting and great feedback. All the best to you, regards, Nemira.
Great information on this page! You really go in depth to deliver some sound solutions to the problems we face in marketing.
I myself was the victim of basically getting my money stolen. I did quite a bit of research, but in the end the $300 investment wasn’t ever going to pay off long term.
The company itself was legit (I think), but the work required to make money was an MLM, and therefore not sustainable or worthwhile. You’re basically selling other people on the idea that they can make money selling a program that doesn’t actually help anyone learn anything meaningful. It’s just everyone selling it to everyone else.
It’s just not worth it to me. There’s no value in that. It’s based on up sells, rather than anything of substance. Those are the people you have to watch out for. They are greedy, heartless, and don’t give two sh*ts about you. “Helping” you out, (after they got your money) means giving you some half-assed solutions that may or may not help at all.
Anywho, I’d be interested to see you do a review on it. It’s called “Little Ticket to Wealth”
Other than that, keep up the great work!

Hello, thank you for great comment. I really appreciate it. It is funny, how humans want to choose fast way to be rich, before not checking out what it is about. Yes, I was in the same company. I did not research enough, just trusted them, especially when I saw pictures of them as family, with two cute children. This guy sold some digital products and after getting trust of his customers, decided to offer courses. Price was from 10 hundreds to 30 hundred USA dollars. You can get this information on Internet, without paying big bucks. Together with his courses he offered as free bonus Emobile Code program. Here you can earn thousands dollars, if you listen this so called guru. After so “generous offer” I understand, that is time to wake up. I got my money back thanks to PayPal. My adventure turned nicely. I discovered WA, best place to learn, earn and find friends from whole world.
Thanks again, best wishes, Nemira.
It is a great information. I found it across your
site by chance (stumbleupon). I’ve book marked it for
next time.
Hi, Bonnie, thanks for visiting, regards.
Thank you for sharing your info. I really appreciate your efforts and I look forward
for your further post and thank you once again.
Hello Ethan, thanks for visiting, cheers.
Very informative information on how to expose and avoid scammers, scams online and on the phone. One trouble with scammers is they are always coming up with new techniques for scamming people so it would be a good idea to check back on your site on a monthly basis to see what new scam techniques you have found scammers a re using. One of the worst scams I have seen recently is the IRS refund scandal.
Hello, thank you for comment. I did not hear about IRS refund scandal. Yes, scammers are getting smarter because people are more informed, not so naive as before. Anyway, strange things happen when somebody presents himself or herself as real company, which is just ghost. I think scammers are from the same family as hackers. Maybe different branch. Did you hear, that they ( hackers) have meeting these days in Los Angeles? Of course they are smarter and more advanced. Unfortunately, consequences are the same: how to fool people and make harm. Have a great day, all the best, Nemira.
Hi Namira
I always type the website same on google to see what happens. If the company is a scam or offer a very bad service, it will show up on the first pages for sure.
If you don’t find the website itself on the first page of Google, well well, this is a strong evidence it is a BAD thing! For example, if you try and type Wealthy Affiliate or any other good renowned website, they will be #1.
All the other tips are really worth following as well. Thanks for precious information!
Stefan
Hello Stefan, thank for input. Usually people suppose to type in Google to check information, especially if something looks suspicious. I guess people are naive, relaxed or just happy with discovery of a new way to become rich.Deep inside they want to reach goals without working hard. Overall I do not like this word “hard”. I think is better to perform diligent search about companies and latter on if they are transparent and legit, feedback from customers is positive, we can take a look what it is about. I like when company is able to give free trial for one or two weeks. If you do not like what you, you can move, without contracts or payment.
All the best to you, regards, Nemira.
hi nemira,
some great advice on here for people looking to make money online. there are so many scam out there and its easy to fall for it when you see all the fake promises and results. I fell for it myself a few times, but really its quite easy to identify the scams if you just follow the advice you have given. If only i come across a post like this when i started looking for ways to earn an online income, I would have saved a lot of time and money. Thanks
Hello Adam, yes, it is not easy to tell at first sight who is real company or who is fake. What I like about Wealthy Affiliate, is ability to try for free. One week is plenty to see how it works. You can create website through few minutes, taste and try tools for keyword search, ask community for help, watch webinars. One week is not enough to learn everything, but it is plenty of time to feel and see what Wealthy Affiliate is about.
I wish that more people would find this transparent and legit community. I am glad that you found it and I wish you all the best in your online journey.
It’s so important to be aware of internet scams, and to be able to tell the difference between a fraud and a genuine site. I never give personal details or pay money to anyone until I have done all the checks that this article suggests. Everyone should appreciate what it says here, thank you Nemira for setting it out so well.
Hello Molly, thank you for visiting my website and input. You are right about protection of our identity. There are so many websites, which at first look as real places to earn money. When we dig deeper and use our common sense, we can see what something wrong. It is good to look for feedback about somebody, who wants offer their business for you. If company is legit, you never will find bad feedback. Being careful, helps in these situations.
All the best, Nemira.
You have a great post about avoiding scams online. For anyone who is new to the game, this will be useful. There are WAY to many scams and fake sites promising so much. I admit, I got lured a couple of times, but managed to realise and learn from my mistakes. Wealthy Affiliate is one of the few REAL opportunities in terms of making moeny online. Period.
Hello Julius, thank you for your input and visiting my website. I was anxious to write about people, who are not ashamed to lure people to their nets. They do not care, if you pay last dollar for their shiny programs. It would good if these programs would work. Unfortunately, it is a waste of time and energy.
I had couple encounters with these people. Happily, I got my money back. Overall, I can be thankful for them, because I found Wealthy Affiliate. Now I am sure that I am in a great company, which is legit and transparent.
Most important thing, when somebody looks for ways how to earn money online, is ability to research and check few times accountability of these companies or persons. If they are trustworthy, they not disappear after when they got money. A feedback from customers is an important thing too.
Thanks again, all the best to you, Nemira.
