How Far Can We Go with Innovations?
A couple of weeks ago, I read an article about an airplane powered by the sun. Yes, you heard it right. There is no diesel, fuel, just energy from the sun. The aircraft, Solar Impulse-2, will cross during the next five months Pacific and Atlantic oceans. It will be a few stops on continents. Flying periods will take five days and five nights. It looks like the challenge, but pilots Andre Borschbeg and Bertrand Piccard are ready for it.
An update for Solar Impulse-2. The world’s largest solar-powered airplane arrived in Nanjing on Tuesday, April 21, 2015, after 17 hours of flight. The journey started in March. This aircraft will be in Nanjing for about two weeks. Previously, it was stranded in China’s Chongqing Municipality for 21 days, thanks to inclement weather. Before China, the solar plane started, it’s a journey from Abu Dhabi on March 8, later stopped at Muscat, Ahmedabad, Varanasi, Mandalay. It conquered a total distance of 6000 km for 75 hours. After China, Solar Impulse-2 will lead to Hawaii, pass Southern Europe and North Africa, and head back to Abu Dhabi.
History of Energy’s Technology
Frank Shuman was a U.S. inventor who, in 1897, built a solar engine. Later on, in 1908, he formed Sun Power Company. Till 1970, it was not so much request in the sun’s thermal energy. However, resources of coal and fuel were lowered on Earth. Frank Shuman’s vision got the second breath. Now, in the USA, solar panel jobs already outnumbered coal jobs. Deutsche Bank predicts that solar will produce power inexpensively as the gas by 2020 in the two-thirds of the planet.
Gripping Inventions
Besides sun-powered airplanes, humans are ready for flying cars. I hope that we are prepared for this exciting innovation, are we? CEO of AeroMobil’s Juraj Vaculik revealed that in 2017 will be released “Flying Roadster.” It will save time for consumers, will create dynamic networks between cities, escaping traffic in big such as megapolis Los Angeles or New York. Another flying car, Terrafugia TF-X, is designed for personal use, combining flying and driving modes. It seems that we are close to scenes depicted in movies “Fifth Element” or ” Back to Future.”
No Limits for Human Mind
A famous quote from Napoleon Hill is: What the mind of man can conceive and believe, it can achieve. All ideas came from man’s mind. At first was thought, following purposes, which became a reality sooner or later. What was unbelievable a few decades ago now is our present and obvious thing. Plans to live on other planets or go on vacation are achievable now. It costs a few hundred thousand dollars, but the latter will be cheaper and accessible to visit your friends in a different state. What are your thoughts about the future? What would you like to see or have to yourself, your kids, and your whole humanity?
